Mornin' all!

I'm tired as all hell today. Had to run things at the restaurant all weekend. Didn't get home Saturday night....er, Sunday morning till 4:00am and didn't get home last night.....er, this morning till 1:00am.

Wouldn't have been all too bad if my wife didn't wake me up at 8:00am yesterday to cut the lawn, go to the grocery store with a list big enough to feed an entire village for a month, then since I had about 20 minutes of free time, finish putting up the wall moulding in the nursery.

I mean, I know she's pregnant and can't do much of anything....but do I have to do everything in one day?????

I hear ya, Mac. Although not as busy as you, my free time has been gobbled up by my mom-in-law being in the hospital. Yup, she's still in there. Physical therapy has taken much longer than anticipated. Meanwhile, we visit her pretty much every day and now I mow two sets of lawns. Plus we have all these odd errands to run on her behalf. I now rue the day she gets released because I know she will be calling everyday for my wife (which usually ends up being me) to do something for her.

why is it always the weekends you think will be carefree wind up being even busier... i spent all day with lil mort yesterday getting her pics done for her new portfolio, then getting them printed out and having problems with that and running in and out of town. yuck! damn kids [img]wink.gif[/img]

And Andy, I feel for you man (unlike MM4 and Porthos, those rat bastards will probably say something like "Stop complaining, it builds character" [img]wink.gif[/img] ) Taking care of an old person is probably harder then taking care of an infant. Infants don't really have opinions, while older folks do, and from what I've seen they tend to express those opinions rather loudly.

Now if you meant, "Will I pay to have people DO my chores?" Then my answer is a huge HELL YES! But since my wife handles the finances she decided that that won'r be happening. 2 weeks ago she decided to discontinue our lawn service (thus the 8:00am wake up call for me to cut the lawn myself [img]frown.gif[/img] .)

In the 3 or so years that we've had this house I've never cut the lawn, I didn't even know if the old lawn mower was going to work. Alas, it did, but with grade of the back yard and the area that goes into the lake, that lawn is a real bitch to cut!

This is my case....I have three girls and one loss....meaning that I had to do a lot of stuff arround plus working while my ex was pregnant....lucky I had a maid to assist her...

I also have to take care of my dad, who lives with me. and that is not easy....

My mom-in-law has gotten pretty good at dropping the "guilt" lines on my wifey. I'm immune to them. I tell her to get her ass out of bed and do it herself. She may be old but she ain't a cripple! It's amazing how that motivates her. [img]wink.gif[/img]
